Fábricas

Fábricas is the new home of events at Lisbon's iconic LX Factory. Fábricas XL and Fábrica L are two key event spaces, each offering unique features for diverse types of events. Fábrica XL is an expansive venue with around 1,400 m² of space, characterized by its high ceilings, exposed industrial elements, and flexible layout, making it ideal for large-scale events such as exhibitions, conferences, and concerts. On the other hand, Fábrica L is a more intimate venue with a vibrant aesthetic. Its blue-painted walls, high arched windows, and abundant natural light create an airy and inviting atmosphere. Fábrica L also features an outdoor balcony, providing spectacular views of the 25 de Abril Bridge, perfect for adding an outdoor element to any event.

LX Factory itself has a rich history, dating back to the 19th century, when it served as an industrial hub in the Alcântara district. The complex was home to major factories, including Companhia de Fiação e Tecidos Lisbonense, one of Portugal’s largest textile manufacturers, and a prominent printing press named Gráfica Mirandela. After years of decline in the late 20th century, the space was brought back to life in 2008 through a revitalization project that transformed it into a thriving cultural and creative center. Today, LX Factory is a hotspot for innovation and art, housing a mix of creative businesses, studios, galleries, restaurants, and unique event venues like Fábrica XL and Fábrica L. Its blend of industrial history with modern artistic energy makes it one of Lisbon's most dynamic destinations for events and culture.
