Vi arbejder målrettet med en række konkrete indsatser inden for miljø og social ansvarlighed. Dette omfatter blandt andet vores Green Key-certificering, affaldssortering, reduktion af madspild og papirforbrug samt støtte til udvalgte sociale initiativer.

Vi inddrager miljøhensyn i relevante beslutninger om drift, indkøb og udvikling af vores aktiviteter.

Sidste nye tiltag er bl.a.:

Kaffeautomater med kapsler er ved at blive udfaset på alle etager til fordel for automater med hele bønner. Kapslerne bliver løbende samlet ind til genanvendelse, men vi ønsker samtidig at reducere forbruget af kapsler og den tilhørende emballage. De nye maskiner kræver desuden mindre afkalkning, og samtidig oplever mange, at kaffen får en højere kvalitet.
Eftermiddagschokoladerne er blevet udskiftet med kage fra en lokal leverandør. Ændringen reducerer blandt andet forbruget af individuelt emballerede produkter, og kagen leveres på fade, som returneres og genanvendes af leverandøren.
Det er nu muligt at yde et frivilligt bidrag til Klimaskovfonden i forbindelse med booking af lokaler eller kurser hos MBK. Et bidrag på 350 kr. ekskl. moms svarer ifølge Klimaskovfonden til etablering af 29 m² skov. Bidraget administreres af Klimaskovfonden, og yderligere information om fondens arbejde kan findes på deres hjemmeside.
Hvor vi før kun havde én ladestander, har vi nu ladestandere ved alle vores parkeringspladser.
Vi sorterer vores affald i 11 fraktioner og opfordrer både gæster og medarbejdere til at bidrage til korrekt affaldssortering. Derfor har vi affaldsstationer placeret synligt og lettilgængeligt i huset.

Herudover arbejder vi med ”de bløde og røde værdier” i FN´s Verdensmål. Vi har gennem en lang årrække støttet forskellige NGO´er ved at tilbyde medarbejdere gratis pladser på vores kompetencegivende kurser.
Pt. har vi et samarbejde med følgende velgørende og humanitære organisationer:

- Folkekirkens Nødhjælp

Hos os respekterer vi kulturelle forskelle, og vi ønsker ikke at samarbejde med leverandører, der diskriminerer medarbejdere på baggrund af køn, race, hudfarve, religion, tro, politisk holdning, seksuel orientering, alder, handicap eller national, social eller etnisk oprindelse.

We work purposefully with a range of concrete initiatives within environmental and social responsibility. These include, among other things, our Green Key certification, waste sorting, reduction of food waste and paper consumption, as well as support for selected social initiatives.

We incorporate environmental considerations into relevant decisions regarding operations, procurement and the development of our activities.

Some of our latest initiatives include:

Coffee machines using capsules are currently being phased out on all floors and replaced with machines using whole beans. The capsules are continuously collected for recycling, but we also wish to reduce the consumption of capsules and the associated packaging. In addition, the new machines require less descaling, and many people find that the coffee is of higher quality.
Our afternoon chocolates have been replaced with cake from a local supplier. Among other things, this change reduces the use of individually packaged products, and the cakes are delivered on trays that are returned to and reused by the supplier.
It is now possible to make a voluntary contribution to the Danish Climate Forest Fund (Klimaskovfonden) when booking meeting rooms or courses at MBK. According to Klimaskovfonden, a contribution of DKK 350 excl. VAT corresponds to the establishment of 29 m² of forest. The contribution is administered by Klimaskovfonden, and further information about the foundation’s work can be found on its website.
Where we previously had only one charging station, we now have charging stations at all of our parking spaces.
We sort our waste into 11 fractions and encourage both guests and employees to contribute to correct waste sorting. For this reason, waste sorting stations are placed visibly and conveniently throughout the building.

In addition, we work with the “social and humanitarian values” reflected in the UN Sustainable Development Goals. For many years, we have supported various NGOs by offering employees free places on our professional development courses.
